Released in 2004, Puteri Gunung Ledang (PGL) is a Malaysian film produced by Enfiniti Vision Media Sdn Bhd (then known as Enfiniti Productions Sdn Bhd).

Adapted from a Malay legend, the period epic fantasy tells the story of Gusti Putri, a mystical Javanese princess who lived on Gunung Ledang and the Sultan of Malacca’s vain efforts to court her, against a backdrop of warring empires and mysticism. The film stars Tiara Jacquelina, M. Nasir, Christine Hakim, Alex Komang, Adlin Aman Ramlie, Dato’ Rahim Razali, Sofea Jane and a stellar cast of regional stars.

For her work in PGL, Tiara Jacquelina won the Best Actress award at the 50th Asia Pacific Film Festival (2005), as well as the Best Producer award at the inaugural Asian Festival of First Films in Singapore (2005). Meanwhile, playwright Mamat Khalid won the Best Screenplay award and Saw Teong Hin won Best Director award at the 18th Malaysian Film Festival 2005. PGL was also selected as Malaysia’s official entry for the Best Foreign Film award at the 76th Academy Awards (2004) and was the first Malaysian film to be shown at the prestigious Venice Film Festival (2004).
